Growth of e-commerce during pandemic reminds us of need for rules to govern it

In a report released on May 4, the World Trade Organization (WTO) highlighted the opportunities and risks associated with the growth of e-commerce during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The application of social distancing measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic has led to increased consumer use of online services and sales, with the latter increasing in particular for medical supplies, food and household products, according to the briefing note.
