28/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – Disability support services have difficulty accessing protective equipment and testing for Covid-19, suffer from high income instability and are understaffed. These are the main findings of the first report on the situation of disability services in the European Union during the Covid-19 pandemic, published on Monday 27 April by the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD). 73.9% of workers who responded to the organisation’s survey do not have access to protective equipment, while 82.6% are working beyond normal hours due to Covid-19.
