31/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – According to information collated by EUROPE, on Monday 30 March, the European Commission asked the European Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly for additional time to submit their replies to the enquiry into the European Union's 4th list of 'projects of common interest' (PCIs) (see EUROPE 12426/14). The Ombudsman's enquiry, which opened on 13 February, intends to determine whether the sustainability and climate impact of the energy infrastructure projects included in the 4th PCI list had been sufficiently assessed beforehand. The Commission's replies to Mrs O'Reilly's questions were expected by 31 March at the latest, however the deadline has been finally extended to 30 April. (DG)
