EU announces nearly EUR 240 million in support of Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries

On Tuesday 31 March, the European Commission announced a new package of almost EUR 240 million to help Syrian refugees and vulnerable people in Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Of these funds, EUR 168 million will go to Lebanon. EUR 100 million will help strengthen the resilience of vulnerable local households and Syrian refugees and build sustainable social safety nets.
