Decision-making in times of crisis, EU Council is moving towards a relaxation of its written procedure

It is on Monday 23 March that the exceptional decision-making process will take place which will enable the Council of the European Union to continue its work in these times of pandemic.

The EU Council will receive Member States' replies to its proposal to ensure that Member States take decisions within the EU Council while respecting the containment measures imposed to stem the spread of COVID-19.
