17/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) calls on Member States that decide to exclude or restrict the participation of Chinese equipment manufacturers Huawei or ZTE in the development of the 5G network in Europe to offer compensation to telecom operators. This is what emerges from their position paper on 5G, published on 15 March. "If Member States decide to adopt restrictions and/or exclude certain equipment already installed, they should ensure that the costs are offset by appropriate measures, including fiscal measures", say the 55 company heads, including those of Telefónica, Ericsson, Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, Orange, Vodafone and Nokia.
