09/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission updated on Monday 9 December the European Union’s aviation safety list, i.e. the list of airlines that do not meet international safety standards and are therefore banned or restricted in the EU. “Today's decision illustrates our continuous efforts to offer the highest level of safety. Not only to European travellers, but to travellers worldwide”, said European Transport Commissioner Adina-Ioana Vălean. While all airlines certified in Gabon have been removed from the list as a result of improved air safety in that country, the Armenian Civil Aviation Committee has been subject to closer scrutiny, due to signs of a decrease in safety oversight.
