09/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – There has been no summit between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean in the last 5 years. “This must be corrected”, said High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell on Monday 9 December, promising to make it “one of the priorities” of his mandate. At the Foreign Affairs Council, EU ministers discussed the situation in Bolivia. Mr Borrell called on all stakeholders to “moderate” and engage in a reconciliation process through the holding of new presidential elections (see EUROPE 12379/23). “Bolivia is one of the elements of a more global situation of concern observed in Latin America”, he said.
