09/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has been applying definitive countervailing measures to imports of biodiesel originating in Indonesia since 28 November, ranging from 8 to 18%. More specifically, these concerns imports of fatty-acid mono-alkyl esters and/or paraffinic gasoils obtained from synthesis and/or hydro-treatment, of non-fossil origin. Provisional duties had already been applied last August, after an investigation lasting almost seven years (see EUROPE 12310/9). The EU imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on Indonesian biodiesel imports in November 2013, but they were cancelled in March 2018 by the World Trade Organization (see EUROPE 12154/24).
