02/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – MEPs from the Industry, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE) will be asked to elect their new committee Chair on Wednesday 4 December in the early morning to replace Adina-Ioana Vălean (EPP, Romania), who has left for the post of European Commissioner for Transport (see EUROPE 12369/3). According to our information, the candidate nominated by the EPP is Romania’s Cristian-Silviu Buşoi. Romania’s Marian-Jean Marinescu (EPP), previously approached, will therefore remain coordinator in the Transport and Tourism Committee (TRAN) (see EUROPE 12372/34). (PH)
