22/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to what was written in our article dated 24 October on the state of negotiations in the EU Council on the Equal Treatment Directive (see EUROPE 12356/16), Denmark is in favour of action at European level and would not have insisted on a prevalence of national competence in the field of anti-discrimination. However, Denmark cannot support the proposal as it stands, as it lacks clarity, particularly on the legal and financial consequences, we are told. (PH)
