On Monday 21 October, the United States Department of Commerce announced its final anti-dumping findings and decisions in two European product investigations: one on imports of acetone from Spain and the other on imports of refillable stainless steel kegs from Germany (and China).
The final conclusions establish a dumping margin of between 137.39 and 171.81% for the Spanish products. These imports, which were worth $17 million in 2018, will therefore be subject to new duties when they enter the United States. The same products originating in Singapore will also be penalised.
As for German kegs, approximately $2.9 million in imports will be subject to an additional tariff duty of 7.47%. Similar Chinese goods will also be subject to anti-dumping duties.
