Green light from MEPs to Frans Timmermans’ candidacy for executive vice-president of European Green Deal

The candidacy of Frans Timmermans, first Executive Vice-President for the ‘European Green Deal’, was given the green light by the coordinators of the European Parliament’s Environment Committee on Wednesday 9 October, the day after his hearing (see EUROPE B12344A1). Not surprisingly, the EPP, S&D, Renew Europe and Greens/EFA groups supported his candidacy.
