09/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Advisory Committee responsible for review of Harassment Complaints against Members of the European Parliament will be chaired for the next 5 years by Slovak MEP Monika Beňová (S&D). The other members of the Committee are Quaestors Anne Sander (EPP, France) and Gilles Boyer (Renew Europe, France). The Committee is also composed of a representative of the Parliament's administration, who chairs the Staff Advisory Committee on Harassment and its Prevention at the Workplace, the Chair of the Committee of Accredited Parliamentary Assistants (APA), a second representative of the APA Committee and a representative of the Staff Committee (only for cases involving an employee). It should be recalled that at this stage, despite the requests of the MeTooEP collective, mandatory training on harassment prevention remains unimplemented and is, we are told, still under examination (see EUROPE 12241/13).
