Committees activities (through 05/09). – BUDG: committee discussion on the EU Council's position on the EU budget for 2020. – TRAN: discussion on the implementation and development of the Mediterranean Central Network and the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T); discussion on the role and extension of the competences of the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA); review of the activities of the European Aviation Safety Agency and recent developments in the Boeing 737 MAX case.

Tuesday 3 September.

  • Brussels. European Parliament. Committees activities. – INTA: review of recent investment screening regulations; trade-related aspects of the Commission's Communication on EU-Latin America and Caribbean relations. – EMPL: consideration of the draft annual report on employment and social policies in the euro area; discussion with Commissioner Marianne Thyssen on the revision of EU rules on the coordination of social security systems.

Wednesday4 September

  • Luxembourg. * Court of Justice of the EU. #Rulings: C-347/18 (Salvoni – when issuing the certificate of enforceability of a final payment order, can the national court examine of its own motion whether the rules on jurisdiction have been infringed, even if a consumer is concerned?).

Thursday 5 September
