11/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Vice President for the Commission’s Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, will visit Moscow on Thursday 13 June to discuss, among other things, the future of gas transit through the Ukraine after the contract expires at the end of 2019, a European Commission spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday 11 June in Brussels (see EUROPE 12176/18). Maroš Šefčovič will hold talks with the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak among others. The Commission wishes to organise a new high level trilateral meeting (Commission/Russia/Ukraine) on gas as soon as possible. (LC)
