07/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – According to the results of a Eurobarometer survey of more than 7000 people, published on Friday 7 June, a majority of citizens residing in an EU country outside the euro area believe that the common currency has had a positive impact on the economies of the countries that have adopted it. In Hungary and Romania, 70% and 62% respectively. 45% of respondents also consider that the introduction of the euro in their country of residence would have a positive impact on its economy and 47% believe that this impact would also be positive for them individually. In addition, 47% of Swedes believe that Stockholm will never adopt the euro, while 58% of respondents in Croatia believe it is likely that the euro will be introduced in their country of residence within five years.
