28/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament's latest projections of its composition after the European elections (see EUROPE 12263/1), published on Tuesday 28 May at 6 p.m., still put the EPP Christian Democratic group at the top of the list of seats won. It will in fact have 178 seats. It has therefore outdistanced the Socialist and Democratic Group (S&D), which has reportedly won 153 MEPs, the ALDE liberals (105 seats), the Greens/EFA group (69 MPs), the conservatives of the ECR group (63 seats), the ENF nationalists (58 MPs), the EFDD populists (54 seats) and the GUE/NGL radical left forces (38 parliamentarians). Eight non-attached members and 25 Members of Parliament who are not yet attached to a political group will complete the assembly. (LT)
