16/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – Around 100 representatives of civil society and youth organisations and non-state actors from the Euro-Mediterranean region will meet on 22 and 23 May in Barcelona (Spain) to discuss current challenges and priorities in the Mediterranean region. During the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Regional Dialogue Conference, entitled 'Shared Views on Key Issues in the Mediterranean’, participants will discuss regional economic and social challenges for women and youth, the environment, water, energy and sustainable development, and education in the region. They will adopt recommendations and scenarios to strengthen Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, with the objective of contributing to the debates of the ‘Summit of the Two Shores’, scheduled for 24 June in Marseille (France), between the Heads of State and Government of the Western Mediterranean countries.
