European ministers reiterate their reservations on opening of agricultural markets

A few days after the European Commission reiterated its aim to seal the deal with Mercosur, the South American Common Market, in the 5 months roughly between now and the end of its mandate, the European Agriculture Ministers referred to their red lines in these negotiations. 

At the Agriculture Council on Tuesday 14 May, several delegations, including France, Slovenia, Ireland and Italy, reiterated their concerns about these discussions on the commercial side of an association agreement...
