15/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The members of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) elected Aleid Wolfsen as Vice-President on Wednesday 15 May at their plenary session in Brussels. Mr Wolfsen, President of the Dutch Data Protection Authority, succeeds the Belgian Willem Debeuckelaere and will work with the second Vice-President, Bulgarian Ventsislav Karadjov and the President of the EDPB, Austrian Andrea Jelinek. “In the years to come, it is our responsibility (...) to deliver authoritative guidance and sound advice. I will make it my responsibility as Deputy Chair that we take on board all opinions, and ultimately speak with one voice”, said Mr Wolfsen. (MF)
