In absence of a European solution, Netherlands will introduce an aviation tax from 2021

In the absence of a European air transport tax, the Netherlands will adopt such a tax at national level. The Dutch government indicated in a statement on Wednesday 15 May, that it had sent a draft bill to the House of Representatives to this effect, which could apply from 2021. 

The draft bill provides for a national flight tax of €7 per departing passenger from the Netherlands and an exemption for connecting passengers. The Netherlands is also considering a tax on air cargo transport....
