08/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 8 March, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper I) did not approve the interinstitutional agreement reached on the regulation establishing the post-2020 space programme (see EUROPE 12203/11). This should be done next week, after consideration of the European Commission's proposals (Article 30(5)) to ensure that: - the provisions relating to the sub-delegation of the EU Agency for the Space Programme do not run counter to the EU's interest, and - sub-delegation agreements can be either amended or revoked, if necessary (see EUROPE 12207/6). National delegations are expected to take a final position at the Coreper I meeting on Wednesday 13 March. (PH)
