G7 and World Bank denounce elimination of law criminalizing personal enrichment

The G7 (Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom and Canada, United States, Japan) and the World Bank denounced, on Monday, March 4, in a joint statement, the elimination of the illicit enrichment offence from the Ukrainian Criminal Code. 

The Ukrainian Constitutional Court on Wednesday 27 February eliminated the law criminalizing illicit personal enrichment, because the Court considered it to violate the presumption of innocence. This law, which dates from 2015, was one of the conditions...
