EU determined to intensify climate diplomacy in the interests of peace and security

On Monday 18 February, in conclusions on climate diplomacy, the European Council stressed that increasing the global level of ambition to combat climate change constitutes a multilateral emergency. 

It reiterates the EU's determination to intensify this diplomacy in favour of the implementation of the Paris Agreement (see EUROPE 12195, 11969). 

Building on the latest IPCC report, the Council is urging all parties to contribute to the increased ambition and success of the UN High Level...
