Lithuania authorised to apply reverse charge VAT mechanism on hard disks

14/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday, 13 February, Member States’ EU ambassadors (Coreper) authorised Lithuania to apply the reverse charge VAT mechanism to hard disk delivery as well as computer and mobile phone delivery (see EUROPE 12108). Vilnius thus intends to better combat the so-called ‘merry-go-round’ of fraud detected on these products, which has a direct negative impact on the national budget.
