The European Parliament approved by a large majority (532 votes in favour, 22 against and 55 abstentions) on Thursday 14 February, the interinstitutional agreement reached between representatives of Parliament and the EU Council in December on the proposal to harmonise the costs of cross-border payments in euros across the EU (see EUROPE 11991).
