On Wednesday 16 January, the European Parliament and the Council began discussions on the future European Defence Fund and gave an initial overview of their mutual positions, not without some tensions dictated by national considerations and untimely departures during the meeting.
Among the most political articles, the co-legislators targeted Article 7 on the ethical dimension of the actions financed by the fund and Article 10 on the eligible entities.
