Commission launches public consultation on sustainability requirements for batteries

10/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission launched a public consultation on Thursday 10 January to evaluate the low voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The Commission will examine whether the increasing number of safeguard clauses and objections to harmonised standards raised by Member States justify a revision of the scope of the Directive, but also of its health and safety requirements in relation to compliance assessment procedures.
