Council lawyers envisage a division of 'whistleblower' directive into five separate texts

The EU Council's Legal Service is reported to have made an oral presentation to Member States on Wednesday 12 December on a proposal to divide the directive to protect whistle-blowers into five pieces of legislation. 

Objective: to guarantee greater legal certainty and bring the European Commission's proposal, whose legal basis is particularly dense (16 different articles) (see EUROPE 12004), into line with the European treaties by isolating the legal basis according to the sectors...
