Negotiators from the European Parliament and the EU Council finally agreed on Thursday 13 December to facilitate the cross-border broadcasting of audiovisual information and news programmes and own productions entirely financed by broadcasters.
The inter-institutional negotiations lasted almost 10 months and resulted in a total of five meetings. But the last one, decisive, lasted only one hour; time enough to refine the definition of own productions.
