Ruling party proposes to amend Supreme Court Act to allow for return of retired judges

Poland's ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS) proposed on Wednesday 21 November to amend the Polish Supreme Court Act to allow judges affected by the law lowering the retirement age to return to their original position unhindered. 

The information was confirmed by the Polish Permanent Representation to the EU and a debate in the Polish Parliament on Wednesday afternoon was expected to clarify the outlines of these changes.
