European Court of Auditors notes systemic weaknesses in supervision of insurance sector

Recognising the important contribution of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) to the establishment of a "common supervisory culture” in the insurance sector, the European Court of Auditors nevertheless noted several "systemic weaknesses" in its special report published on Thursday 15 November.
