Council is expected to reach agreement on Monday 19 November on deep-sea quotas

EU fisheries ministers are expected to reach political agreement on Monday 19 November in Brussels on total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2019 and 2020 for so-called deep-sea species. 

The Commission has proposed a reduction in catch limits in seven areas (see EUROPE 12113). 

The Council's discussions should focus on the following stocks: - red seabream in areas 6 to 8 (Scotland, Ireland, English Channel, Bay of Biscay): the Commission wishes to authorise only by-catches, as...
