15/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – Work is continuing in preparation for the third negotiation meeting between Parliament and the Council on copyright reform. The latest event: a meeting of the Council's working group on the rights of newspaper publishers (Article 11), the value gap (Article 13) and the right to remuneration (Article 14). According to a source close to the case, the discussions were lengthy, but did not lead to any decision. The Austrian Presidency should use these discussions as a basis for presenting a new compromise text to the meeting of Permanent Representatives on 23 November in preparation for the third trilogue between Parliament and the Council on 26 November.
