EU congratulates Barham Salih and Adel Abdul Mahdi on their new responsibilities

On Wednesday 3 October, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service  (EEAS) congratulated Barham Salih on being elected by the Iraqi Council of Representatives the previous day as the next president of Iraq.  The EEAS spokesperson also congratulated Adel Abdul Mahdi on his appointment as prime minister designate.
