Hanoi hopes for provisional entry into force of free trade agreement with EU in 2019

When visiting Brussels on Tuesday 18 September, Vietnam's Deputy Minister for Trade Trần Quốc Khánh said he hoped the free trade agreement between the European Union and Vietnam would enter into force provisionally as soon as the European Parliament has ratified it – if possible before the end of its current legislature.

Trần Quốc Khánh said that, as far as he knew, translation of the free trade agreement would be finalised "somewhere in November" and a joint signature...
