Franco-British deal on scallops

18/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 18 September, the French minister for agriculture, Stéphane Travert, welcomed the deal reached between French and British fishermen on scallop fishing in the Baie de Seine (see EUROPE 12095).  British boats of over 15 metres thus undertake not to fish scallops in the eastern Channel until end October and, in compensation, will receive an exchange of fishing quotas from France, in the same conditions as last year.  Normandy fishermen only have the...
