New ambassador to EU gives reassurance on transatlantic partnership, but without betraying Trump

In an article published inPolitico Europe on Friday 7 September, the new US ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, seemed reassuring on the future of transatlantic relations.

Aware of the doubts on both sides of the Atlantic as regards the state of the transatlantic relationship and even of its relevance, the ambassador says that "these concerns ignore a key fact: our relationship has faced and overcome disagreements big and small since the very beginning".  Underlining the US commitment...
