MEPs approve compromise on medicated feedstuffs

10/7/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 10 July, the European Parliament’s committee on agriculture, in Brussels, approved (40 for, one abstention), the compromise text between institutions concerning the production, marketing and use of medicated feedingstuffs, the aim being to step up the fight against resistance to antimicrobials (see EUROPE 12045, 12040).  The text agreed has still to be formally adopted by the European Parliament (in October) and the Council of the EU.  (LC)
