€191 million in humanitarian aid to eight countries in the region

10/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 10 July, the European Commission granted humanitarian aid to eight Sahel countries that are experiencing the worst famine for five years. The European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Christos Stylianides, said that the objective is to support more than one million people, while supporting treatment to over 650,000 severely malnourished children.
