Signature of EU-Japan free trade agreement expected at Brussels summit on 11 July

03/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – At the 25th bilateral summit in Brussels on 11 July, the EU and Japan are expected formally to sign their free trade agreement.  This agreement was concluded in December 2017.  The Council of the EU is expected to authorise the European Commission to sign the agreement on behalf of the EU.  Without a meeting of the Council at ministerial level before 13 July, the ambassadors of the member states (Coreper) are expected to agree on 4 July that member...
