No member state really championing climate cause, says CAN Europe

Sweden, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and Portugal may have no reason to be ashamed at the level of climate ambition they advocate across the EU but no European Union country is a real champion in the fight against climate change, able to stand on top of the podium, according to a new ranking published by Climate Action Network – Europe (CAN Europe) on Monday 18 June, the first day of the informal Petersberg ministerial dialogue (see EUROPE 12042).
