Polisario Front challenges resumption of negotiations between EU and Morocco on amended agreement

18/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – The Polisario Front, the aim of which is the independence of Western Sahara, lodged an action with the European Court of Justice on Friday 15 June against talks being held between the European Union and Morocco to renew their bilateral fisheries agreement. It says that the EU-Morocco fisheries agreement, which expires in mid-July, is meaningless without the waters adjacent to Western Sahara.
