EU extends sanctions for a year in connection with illegal annexation of Crimea

18/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 June, the EU Council extended the restrictive measures in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia until 23 June 2019.  The sanctions apply to EU persons and EU-based companies, and are limited to the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.  They include prohibitions on imports into the EU of products originating in Crimea or Sevastopol, and investment in these territories.  European cruise ships cannot call at...
