Council inclined to dial down pan-European nature of personal pension product label

With reflections on creating a controlled quality label for pan-European personal pensions products (PEPP) already having made considerable progress at the European Parliament(see EUROPE 11985), the member states are also pursuing their work at the Council.

Readers may recall that the legislative proposal, announced one year ago (see EUROPE 11819), aims to lay the foundation of a single European private pensions market.
