25/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini has called for further reforms in Ukraine, while hailing the progress the country has already made and its implementation of the association agreement. "More progress is needed, in particular on the anti-corruption reforms. The expected establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court, fully in line with the recommendations of the Venice Commission, would be an essential step forward", Mogherini said during a meeting in Brussels on 25 May with Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. The draft legislation on this court is currently being discussed at the Ukrainian parliament. Mogherini and Groysman also discussed the state of progress in EU-Ukraine cooperation, the reform process and the country's security and humanitarian situation. (CG)
