25/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – Several sources have revealed that the inter-institutional negotiations (trialogue) on the directive on protecting workers against exposure to carcinogens and mutagens were positive on Wednesday evening 23 May, with the Parliament and the Council agreeing on most of the technical points. Two major more political points remain to be discussed at the next trialogue meeting on 18 June: the inclusion, by rapporteur Claude Rolin (EPP, Belgium) of diesel fumes and the inclusion as an annexe of agreements with the social partners (see EUROPE 12024). Agreement is expected to be reached at the 18 June meeting, we have been told. (PH)
