Road carriers unhappy with report adopted in Parliament on revision of Eurovignette directive

25/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – The International Road Transport Union (IRU) expresses its discontent in a press release on 24 May at the approach taken by the European Parliament’s transport committee on revision of Directive 1999/62/EC (see EUROPE 12026). The IRU feels that the MEPs’ amendments will lead to cost increases for road freight and have a negative impact on competitiveness, investment and employment in the sector.
