Andrea Jelinek, chair of the European Data Protection Committee (EDPB), was at pains on Friday 25 May to ease tension about the coming into force of the general data protection regulation (GDPR).
The EDPB is a new, independent body responsible for applying the GDPR regulation, which came into application on the same day.
